  TITLE     SNOWBALL FIGHT
DESCRIPTION     Throwing Styrofoam balls at one another.
DETAILS     We did this as a prelude to making snowballs (see arts and crafts).  It was a big hit, no pun intended. Styrofoam ball are hard to direct and if you do hit your target, it doesn't hurt.  This was particularly fun in our household as we don't get snow.  This wasn't organized, like NOW WE'RE GOING TO THROW SNOWBALLS. I just looked at those balls which we were organizing for our craft project and all of a sudden felt compelled to throw one at my grandson who of course responded in kind. The fight was on.  It was two seventy somethings, my sister and myself, vs. an 8 year old and a ten year old. Those grandchildren like to get us organized, so they refined the game, putting  masking tape down the center to divide the territory and aligning us in teams - the younger siblings versus the elder.  It was wild and noisy. Following up with the snowball crafts project calmed everyone down. Click for link.
