  TITLE     POM POM SPIDER
DESCRIPTION     Using yarn, pipe cleaners and googly eyes make easy spiders
DETAILS     Cut a piece of cardboard about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. Lengthwise, loosely (you are going to remove) wrap with black yarn until nice and thick. Cut a long piece of yarn to use as a tie, approximately 8 inches. Carefully remove the yarn from the cardboard making sure the loops remain intact. Place as many pipe cleaners as you want legs across the loops and tie with the strip of yarn. Cut the loops at the edges and trim the pom pom to make a nice circle. Bend the spiders legs and glue on googly eyes. My spiders were made with a ribbon yarn that I found in a sale bin at my local craft store. Plain yarn will look more like a pom pom, but I like the "plopiness" of these, they are rather endearing! USES: I'm going to put one at each place setting at a halloween dinner. I'm also going to hang them in the windows that frame our front door for the trick-or-treaters to enjoy.
