This pin cushion sachet is a great gift for valentine’s day or any other event. The center design can be anything you imagine - a star, a flower, or someone’s initial, but a heart, well, a heart says love. This can either be a sachet filled with scented flowers, like lavender, or a pin cushion filled with cotton batting. Whatever you think is cool. Buy a piece of white felt at your local craft store large enough to
accommodate the size of your project, remembering you need two sides. Find contrasting fabric for the center design. Decide on size of project. My finished project was three and a half inches square Cut felt and design. The decorative stitching is achieved by making a stitch, but before pulling it tight, running the needle through the loop that has formed, then tightening. I used mending yarn, but doubled thread would work as well. Center design on the felt, pin it, then decorative stitch around it, affixing it to the felt. Sew three sides, leaving the third open for stuffing. Once this is done sew up the last side
