The gift stores in art museums usually have some interesting art kits for children. At Stanford's Cantor Museum, I found something called SCRATCH MAGIC. You scratch in your design with the provided tool and brilliant, sparkling colors appear. Your project literally glows. Take your time to plan your image before you begin. Once you start scratching you're committed. In the kit they provide a variety of images, but they're awfully small. Get some ideas from these and make a big statement of your own. The cost was $6.50 plus tax for three sheets. They have a net site,
